Into the Fire - Spring AAA Challenge Recap

The home tournament was a success thanks in part to a lot of volunteers and some fun extras that were added to make the tournament fun outside of the games.

This years tournament featured:

1. Jack Connollly held an autograph and picture taking session on Saturday and signed several hundred autographs to a steady line of participants for almost 2 hours. Jack even autographed the trophies and each team received an autographed jersey from Jack. Thanks Jack you were great!

2. Moms shootout in all the games on Sunday. Two moms were chosen from each team and went head to head to see which teams players would win slushies from the concession stand after the game. Good job to all the moms that participated.

3. Live streaming broadcast via the internet of all games starting Saturday night and included all games on Sunday via the IFAN sports network http://www.ifan.tv/ The games will be archived and DVDs will be made available of all recorded games.

4. Rapid Fire customized pucks were used in all games.

5. Medals were given to all players.

6. Music and game time announcing took place for all games.

7. Congratulations to the Jr. Islanders for winning the 2000 level this year! Next year your fees are half regular fees! Come back and defend your title!!!
